In order to identify this region as a whole with Kanavashram “The birth place of Emperor Bharat” it is necessary that names of all places, which over a period of time have been distorted or changed be reverted back to their original name. In this name of a place “Kalalghati” by which this region is identified and which possibly is a distorted name needs to be changed to “Kanavghati”. The issue in regards to the change of name has been at present referred to Govt. of Uttarakhand by the Kanvashram Vikas Samiti.
