कण्वाश्रम के विकास के नाम पर मालिनी नदी के तट तथा घाटी के पर्यावरण को अत्याधिक नुक़सान पहुँचाया जा रहा है। राज्य सरकार द्वारा जो कार्य वहॉ किये जा रहे है उनके सम्बन्ध मे स्थानीय लोगों की राय नही ली गयी है। उक्त कार्यों के फलस्वरूप मालिनी नदी की धारा को संकीर्ण कर दिया गया है जिस के भविष्य मे गम्भीर परिणाम होंगे। कार्य पूर्ण होने पर कण्वाश्रम के वार्षिक वसन्त पंचमी मेले के आयोजन के लिए कोई स्थान नही बचेगा। इन सब बिन्दुओं को कण्वाश्रम विकास समिति ने सम्बन्धित अधिकारियों को अवगत करा दिया है।
In the name of development, construction is being done on the bed of river Malini, which is damaging the environment of the region. The work being undertaken in the region is being done without the consent of the surrounding people. The construction work has severely restricted the flow path of the river with severe consequences in future.
